Learning Computer skills at the Christchurch City Mission

We are very good at helping someone who needs food and somewhere to sleep. But we are doing much more for them than that through our Learning and Development Programme. We want to give people more skills and confidence to improve their lives, gain work so they no longer need us.

Education and training is the key

Our research shows that two-thirds of the people we help have reading and literacy problems. They often lack other life and work skills and we believe if we can give them these through our Learning and Development Programme it will lead to better, independent lives.

These courses are open to all the people we care for and support.
