Op Shops
Our Op Shops are historic City Mission social enterprises which are supported by the Christchurch community through donations of clothing and goods, and volunteering.
All proceeds go towards the City Mission’s work with struggling local families and individuals and provide work training opportunities for City Mission clients who are being helped towards independent new lives.
The Op Shops are a great place for ethical shoppers to search for treasures or the next statement piece for their wardrobe. Buying from an Op Shop is fun. It helps the planet, saves unnecessary wastage and helps us to continue our work in the community.
Clients who are working with a City Mission service or social worker can access free bedding, household items and clothing.
Donations of good quality clothing and household goods are accepted at our City Mission Op Shops in Rangiora, Bryndwr and Sydenham, open 10am-4pm, Monday - Saturday. Our new city centre store on Barbadoes Street is open Monday - Saturday 10am - 4pm.
Donations of bigger items can be collected free of charge Monday to Friday. Please call 03 365 0633, email
